Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park
Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park preserves 2,965 acres of Civil War terrain from the 1864 Atlanta Campaign, including earthworks, cannon emplacements, and nearly 17 miles of hiking trails across two mountain ridges. The park draws more than a million visitors annually and is one of the most visited National Park Service sites in Georgia. Charter buses and motorcoaches use the main visitor center parking area off Stilesboro Road, and the park recommends calling ahead for large group visits.
The visitor center is open daily and offers ranger-led programs for school and tour groups. Confirm current group access details on the Kennesaw Mountain plan your visit page before your trip.
